BlueGiga
announces simple WRAP ASCII software for its WRAP(TM) THOR Bluetooth modules
BlueGiga releases an add-on software product for its WRAP THOR Bluetooth
modules, called the WRAP THOR ASCII Interface. The WRAP ASCII add-on software
is designed to further help all developers by offering a user-friendly
interface for developing and integrating applications on top of BlueGiga's
Bluetooth modules.
The WRAP
ASCII software provides a simple method for device manufacturers using
the WRAP THOR Bluetooth modules by BlueGiga, to implement Bluetooth into
their products, without having to concern themselves about Bluetooth protocol
or profile level integration software. This is made possible by the WRAP
ASCII software, allowing the WRAP THOR module to act similarly to standard
modems.
"The
WRAP ASCII software makes our Bluetooth modules extremely simple and fast
to integrate. The module can now be used in the same way as a traditional
modem. The interface is similar to the well-known AT command set. Now
Bluetooth applications can be developed and used without having to integrate
any other Bluetooth-related software into the system. The supported features
behind the WRAP ASCII Software are the serial air link connection, inquiries,
and data transfer," says BlueGiga General Manager Tom Nordman.
