DESCRIPTION
WRAP™ 1210 Cable Replacer offers you a quick and easy way to
replace an RS-232 cable with a Bluetooth wireless link. Any machinery
with an RS-232 port can now exchange data wirelessly with other
equipment, PCs, mobile phones or PDAs. WRAP 1210 is ideal for applications
such as industrial machinery and manufacturing equipment, measurement
devices, medical applications, POS systems, building automation
etc.
USAGE SCENARIOS
Devices
currently communicating over an RS-232 cable are turned wireless
by connecting a WRAP 1210 Cable Replacer to each device.
A Device with an RS-232 port can be controlled from a PC or handheld
computer. The user interface program inside the mobile device uses
its virtual serial port bonded to the Bluetooth link the same way
as a typical RS-232 link.
