DESCRIPTION
By combining Bluetooth, networking technologies and the Linux operating
system, the WRAP 1260 MicroServer is a versatile product which enables
you to replace cables, network your devices (M2M) and interface
with equipment using mobile devices. The WRAP 1260 presents you
with new possibilities to save time and money by increasing the
accessibility to various machines and systems for remote reading,
diagnostics, monitoring, system updates or other wireless transactions.
USAGE SCENARIOS
The WRAP 1260 eliminates cabling installation and cabling maintenance
costs as it enables a wireless local machine network. Since the
MicroServer can interact with any gateway of choice (Ethernet/GSM/GPRS/ISDN/PSTN),
networking devices for remote control and monitoring is very easy.
Mobility
is increased when keypads, monitors and other traditional user interfaces
are replaced by the user's handheld device (mobile phone, PDA, lap
top). Local monitoring and machine control is enabled by Java over
Bluetooth and the built in web server. Both professional users and
consumers benefit from mobile interaction now being possible with
the WRAP 1260 MicroServer.
