Powercomp adapted Bluetooth in order to be able to integrate multiple handheld solutions with wireless and efficient back office systems in a standardized, cost effective and reliable manner. Since Bluetooth wireless technology is a standard feature in most entry-level handheld devices, no additional investments were required from end users. Powercomp investigated and tested several Bluetooth Access Points, to find a solution that was robust, practical, user-friendly, secure and cost efficient. Their choices were Bluegiga Access Servers 2291 and 2293, because of their reliability and performance. As of today, Access Servers are used in several Powercomp applications. Feedback from the users has been very positive, and the amount of installed Access Servers is growing steadily.
